A
Cat Stevens Tribute Night
The
Austrian Cat Stevens tribute band Al &
the Firecats return, by popular demand, to
the Ent Shed, Bedford, on 31.03.07. They last
played at the same venue in 2005 and seats
sold out within three weeks. The gig was a
resounding success and mention should be made
of the £1000-plus which was raised for
Yusuf Islam’s charity, Small Kindness.
Last
time around, Albert Eigner (guitar, vocals,
acoustic bass) took the audience through the
musical and spiritual journey of the artist
formerly known as Cat Stevens. He’s
aided and abetted this time by additional
member on (percussion) and stalwarts Herbert
Pils (vocals, guitar), Martin Rieter (vocals,
keyboards). Their sound recaptures 60s Cat,
70s Cat and 00s Yusuf – be prepared
for a few musical surprises. Hope you can
