message of love and idealism to heart,his music was our light and hope in the middle of a
horrific war,I saw him singing the message of God,while we were surounded by an evil

I was a lonely kid that read a lot and had too many questions that the world around
could not answer. All the flying high and low(very deep) through all the
math,philosophy(west than east),yogas, martial arts, etc... led actually towards Islam, in
my mid 20's. Yet, after being a practicing Muslim for few yrs I discovered brother Cat.
His songs answered so many of my questions about my searches. Though never a superstar, my

I am very sorry, I thought this was a place where people talked about the Great Cat
Stevens and the true meanings of his words that made his songs. I was looking to be able
to obtain the rest of his albums. When I read what people have written, I don't think you
are the people that can help me. True respect love and kindness are only some of what Cat
Stevens songs are about....not Hey Man..etc.etc. He was very Religious before he gave
himself to God, it showed through his songs. It didn't matter what religion you where, but
his songs gave a spiritual feeling to ALL who trully listened. I am a Catholic, but it
wouldn't matter, as there is only One God, and there are many religions who pray to Him.
Listening to his songs has bought me back (after more years than I can count) to thinking
about God and the ways He works.. so thank you Cat Stevens.

Peace to all I came by ur site by accident,and found how much info u had on Yusuf
Islam.First of all i would like to tell all of u the day cat walked into the regents park
mosque to revert to Islam.Myself and a friend were standing in the main door of the mosque
which was just opened in 1977,when cat came in.I knew it was him because i was a follower
of his music in my school days,and that was the start of our friendship.I worked with him
for three years in a charity called Companions of the Mosque.In those times i heard many
of the stories that u have on ur site and they r authentic.He is still a family friend who
